About the Slovakia Travel Guide

Since the Slovakia - Heart of Europe website has been running, the number one request from our visitors has always been "Can you help me find information about a hotel in ...". Rather than replying to each and every email, we decided instead to create the Slovakia Travel Guide and list the best hotels, pensions and cottages in the country.

You can find the type of accommodation that is right for you by searching the database in a number of different ways. You can make a search on the different regions via a clickable map of Slovakia (NB. we have drawn up the maps ourselves in attempt to show traditional tourist regions). You can also list the accommodation by type (e.g. Hotels) or make an advanced search from within the database itself.

All the accommodation listed in the Slovakia Travel Guide include a detailed description, color photos, list of amenities, contact details, the number of rooms and prices (NB. the price shown is the approximate cost of a double room in Euros). All text is written in both English and Slovak, and in many cases in German as well.

Once you have read all about a particular hotel or pension and have decided that you would like to make a reservation, you can click on a direct link to the reservation and booking section on the hotel's own website and then make your booking.
