Description
The hotel Jalta is situated in the center of Michalovce. It was originally built in 1965 and was then reconstructed to today's current look in 1999. In the same year it was awarded 3rd place by the Slovak Association of Hotels and Restaurants in the Slovak Republic in the competition, the Hotel of the Year.
The hotel provides accommodation of a high standard in 9 single rooms, 14 double rooms and 5 hotel suites. The hotel rooms are equipped by a bathroom en suite, a TV set with a satellite and a fridge with a minibar. There is also possible access to the internet upon request. There is air-conditioning in the hotel suites, and also a safe. The interior of the rooms is made more comfortable by artistic pieces by contemporary Slovak artists.
The hotel offers you its services in a hotel restaurant with a summer terrace, where you can taste exceptional Zemplinske (regional) specialities also gastronomic delicacies of international kitchen. The capacity of the restaurant is 120 places.
In the hotel there is a café with a capacity of 100 places where you can spend a pleasant evening with live music.
The air-conditioned congress salon is suitable for business meetings, company presentations and family celebrations. Its capacity is 40 people.
In the town's surroundings there are interesting tourist areas:
- A protected scenic area Vihorlat, part of which is Sninsky rock (Sninský kamen) and Sea eye (Morske oko).
- Another attraction for tourists is also the wooden churches, which belong to the world rarity.
- The center of water sports and summer tourism is a known vacation center Zemplinska sirava and Vinianske lake.
- Lovers of graphic and plastic arts will appreciate a visit to the Pop art museum of Andy Warhol in Medzilaborce.
- The hotel can arrange for you a visit to original wine cellars from the region of Tibava and Tokaj.
