Location
The Spa town Trenčianske Teplice is situated in the western part of Slovakia, at the foot of the Strážovské vrchy hills, 15 km north-east of Trenčín, 135 km north-east of the capital Bratislava, 80 km south-west of Žilina, and 150 km east of Brno. Only 10 km from the spa town, there is the exit for high-way D1, connecting Bratislava and Žilina. The closest airports are situated 60 km (Piešťany), 130 km (Bratislava) and 190 km (Vienna - Schwechat) far away.
Trenčianske Teplice lies at a height of 272 meters above sea-level, in the scenic valley of the river Teplička, surrounded by the hills Machnáč, Klepáč and Grófovec. The beneficial sulphurous thermal springs are the foundations laid by nature for the development of this health resort. The romantic atmosphere offers beauty, pleasure, peace and health for those who seek it.
Hotel Flóra is in an attractive location. It is situated in the centre of the spa and cultural town of Trenčianske Teplice, next to the spa park and the spa hall. There is a forest behind the hotel, in front of the hotel, flows the river Teplička. The hotel is surrounded by flora, hence it's name. The hotel is 350 m from hot thermal water pools, 400m from the railway station and 600m from the bus station.
Accommodation
The hotel provides accommodation in 12 single rooms, 44 double rooms, 3 double apartments (small, large and business) and 2 four-bed family apartments. All rooms are equipped with a private bathroom, toilet, satellite TV, radio and direct-dial telephone. The apartments also have a mini-fridge. The majority of the rooms have a balcony with a view of the beautiful natural scenery. The capacity of the hotel is 114 beds and 18 extra beds.
Dining
Dining is offered in the air-conditioned Flóra restaurant, which features a summer terrace and Festival Café with a summer terrace. The breakfast is offered in the form of buffet. The lunches and dinners are served, there is the chance to choose from 3 menus and the salad buffet for hotel guests.
Conferences
Hotel Flóra provides facilities for conferences, seminars, training and business meetings. The hotel offers an air-conditioned conference hall for 70 people, a lounge with a capacity of 20 people and business apartment for 8 people as well as equipment and accessories for the training.
Medical treatments
Hotel Flóra is a private health facility for physiatry, balneology and healing rehabilitation. Medical treatments such as classical, reflex and underwater massages, foot reflex massages, manual and mechanical lymphatic drainages, honey detoxication massages, shiatsu - Japanese massages, vacuum massages, massages with lava-stones, bubble baths with supplement of herbs and salts, whirlpools (jacuzzies), peat wraps, mineral mud packs Ahava, electrotrotherapy, biopron lamp, kinesiotherapy (curative gymnastics), hydrokinesiotherapy, aquaaerobic or yoga are provided under the supervision of a doctor and resident physiotherapist.
Wellness and sport
In 2006, a new wellness centre was opened at the hotel. The new centre provides:
- a pool complex with indoor swimming pool (15,5 x 8 m) and sitting pool (11,5 x 2,5 m), with water attractions (countercurrent flow, waterfall, massage jets, floor geyser, water seats and water beds)
- a sauna world with salt steam bath, herbal inhalation, finnish sauna, tepidarium and water road
- fitness room
The offer is completed by mountain bike rental and finnish sauna. Also, in the spa park, 850 m from the hotel, there are tennis courts.
Other services
The wide offer of hotel services is complemented by the services of a hairdresser, beauty parlour, car park with barrier and controlled by camera system, internet access, a hotel safe, exchange office, laundry, secretary and information services.

Hotel Flóra has become the centre of an international Art Film festival every year. Famous artists such as Jean-Paul Belmondo, Sophia Loren, Franco Nero, Catherine Deneuve, Ornella Muti, Gina Lollobrigida, Geraldine Chaplin, Annie Girardot, Michele Placido, Nastassja Kinski, Václav Havel and others have visited the hotel during the festival´s history.
